ELEGANZA

The Center for Teen Empowerment is a nonprofit with four sites, two in Boston, MA, one in Somerville, MA, and another in Rochester, NY. The organization hires youth organizers in each of these areas between the ages of 14-21 and provides the resources they need to get other teens in their community actively discussing issues and responding to them in a positive way through channels such as rap, song, spoken word, and dance.

Every year, the charity holds a Peace Conference enabling youth to showcase their talents and the projects they've worked on. This event is attended by hundreds of teens and community members in the Boston area.

In collaboration with Teen Empowerment, ELEGANZA hosts a workshop annually at the Peace Conference as well as talent shows and on campus visits throughout the year. Last year, ELEGANZA was able to donate $5000 to the nonprofit and endeavors to continue working with it into the future.
